Single-visit root canal treatment, in brief

When decay or a crack lets bacteria reach the nerve of a tooth, root canal treatment removes the infected pulp, cleans the canals and seals them, so the tooth can stay. Most teeth with a contained infection are treated in one sitting; an abscess may need two. A back tooth often needs a crown afterwards to protect it. Painless here means a numbing technique and a careful pace, not a promise about every tooth.

Planning your visit

Getting to Wakad

  • The clinic is in Prime City Center on Datta Mandir Road, in Shankar Kalat Nagar, Wakad.
  • From Pimple Nilakh and Pimple Saudagar, Wakad is the nearer clinic.
  • If your face is swollen or you feel unwell, ask someone to drive you rather than riding yourself.

Before you come

  • The treatment itself usually takes 45 to 75 minutes; allow extra time for the examination and X-ray.
  • Eat before you come, and wait until the numbness wears off before chewing on that side.
  • Tell us if you take blood thinners or have a heart condition when you book.
  • Bring any old X-rays of the tooth.

Questions about Wakad

Not here? Ask us directly. We reply during clinic hours, till 9 pm.

Ask on WhatsApp
Can I be seen the same day for a painful tooth?

Call and say it hurts. We give you the earliest time we have, which is sometimes the same evening, because Wakad is open till 9 pm, Monday to Saturday.

Is the Wakad clinic open on Sunday for a toothache?

No, Wakad is closed on Sundays. Our Hinjewadi clinic has Sunday hours; call before you go to check them.

Why do you call it painless?

Because of how it is done: the tooth is numbed fully before starting and checked again if you feel anything. Most people feel pressure rather than pain. It describes the technique, and some tenderness afterwards is still normal.

If I need a crown, can that be done at Wakad too?

Yes. The crown is planned at the root canal visit and made over one or two later visits, which can be booked at Wakad.
